Blind Guardian
je německá hudební skupina založená roku 1985 ve městě Krefeld jako speed metalové těleso s názvem Lucifer's Heritage.
Mezi témata, o která se kapela při své tvorbě opírá, patří především literatura (J. R. R. Tolkien, Stephen King…), bájná historie (antické eposy), fantasy motivy a vzácně i reflexe světových událostí. Mimochodem už jsem měl tu možnost přečíst většinu Tolkienových děl a musím říci, že nic tak nenavodí atmosféru epičnosti pro tuto četbu jako Blind Guardian.
BLIND GUARDIAN představují na současné metalové scéně naprosto svébytný soubor. Nejenže dokázali speed a power metal z úvodních počinů přetavit na barevnou výpravnou muziku plnou inter, sborů, magických sól a dramatické dějovosti a v kompaktním složení se probojovali opravdu do celého světa.
Důležitou osobností zde je Hansi Kürsch, který je v německém power metalu velmi známý spolupracuje s řadou kapel jako jsou Gamma Ray, Edguy. Jde o zpěváka s velmi nezvýklou- heroickou barvou hlasu. Proto si získal můj obdiv a uznání. Posuďte sami.
Kromě power- metalu jsou také dokonalými tvůrci balad.ou hudbu, která žije vlastním životem. Jako zpěvák pro mě má ideální barvu barvu hlasu. Jako skladatel se už jen težko překonává.
